Sorry I've been out of touch the past week. Things at the office are crazy busy, then at home my computer is either busy or I am playing with my lil one. I'm sure things will slow down eventually... If not...
My mom kept my lil one last weekend. Friday I went over there with her to have dinner. She fixed her famous (well, to us) salmon cakes. We eat 'em like cheeseburgers: hamburger bun, cheese slice, ketchup, and salmon cake. YUMMY! Anyway, I was in my dad's bathroom, yes he has his own, and was forced to laugh out loud. You just have to know him, I guess, but he is... different. He's a very absent-minded professor type who comes up with solutions that WORK, but don't always seem to make sense when you first look at them. And he never, ever throws anything away. Case in point, I saw this in the stack of books on top of his toilet:
His new computer has Windows Vista.
Also in his bathroom he had a spaceheater with a yellow industrial strength extention cord plugged into the wall. I asked my mom what in the world he was using it for??? She said he had said that was the only cord we had that would fit in the wall...
I was then looking at pictures of their Spring Break get away to the mountains with my sister and her family. They go to "get away" and guess what he finds??? Yup!
He could be in the desert lost for days and find one. Then he'd find a grocery store that had a better price on Purity lemonade and we'd have to make a special trip there as well. He bought enough bottled water, chips, and toilet paper to supply an Army. I don't know why he does things like this, but he does. We just smile and agree. We learn to live with it. He's our dad and we love him. He may not make much sense, but dammit, he's amusing!
And yeah, he does this too:
"No one will ever know... Baum Baum Baum Baum... My heart is aching!"
Quick! Name that song!
