Thursday evening my lil one and I came home to find these
in a box at our door. My exhusband had sent them with a note, "Happy Mother's Day Mommy! Love, Caroline." I was very touched that he had thought to remember Mother's Day. I took them to my office so I could enjoy them Friday and (hopefully) this week:
I sent that picture to my girlfriends with a note explaining what it was on my phone. The reply texts came rolling back in. "Very pretty!" said one. "WTF?" said another. "Maybe he's regretting something?" a third. I really didn't think so. I thought it was just a nice guesture for the mother of his child. Despite what happened between us, we have been able to remain amicable and even friendly, well, now. Now, she is our primary focus. He called (from Korea, his station now) Friday afternoon and said that he figured this was the one holiday we could still celebrate together. I thanked him again (I had already emailed) and told him it was a very nice guesture.
Will was simply surprised. You see, I never got flowers a whole lot when we were married. Oh well, it was still a nice guesture. And Caroline LOVED them.
So, Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. Enjoy your day!!!
